Tumbling & Stunt Classes

Tumbling Classes

Our tumbling classes are for a duration of 60 minutes. The first 30 minutes will be focused on the basics of strengthening and stretching. The latter 30 minutes will be split into skill based instruction. This combination of training provides for the most efficient and successful tumbling growth. 

To register for a Tumbling or Stunt Class please CLICK HERE! Be sure to select the correct location when you are registering for any class.

Our classes are $10/class for competitive team members, and $16.25/class ($65/mo) for non-competitive athletes. We will charge all classes and private lessons at the END of the month, and you will only be charged for the # of classes in a month. If you enroll mid-month, you will only be charged a pro-rated amount for the remaining classes in the month. 

You will remain in the classes unless a request to drop is sent to michelle@cheercentralsuns.com no later than the 25th of the current month. The class drop will go into effect for the following month, if a formal drop request is not submitted you will remain enrolled in the class and will be charged the monthly fee, no refunds will be available. 

Tumbling Class Descriptions: 

Tiny Tumbling- for our Tiniest  of tumblers- ages 3-6. We will teach the basics of tumbling including rolls, carwheels, handstands, back bends, and back walkovers! We try to give the kiddos plenty of time to learn new things, but also enjoy our trampolines and other equipment too! This class is the perfect introduction to tumbling for our tiniest athletes!

Beginning Tumbling- Walkovers, cartwheels, round offs and rolls
Introduction to tumbling! Athletes will learn proper techniques for the
foundations of tumbling. No experience required.

Beginning Back Handsprings- Athletes will learn how to do a back handspring! They will focus on the strength
and techniques required to learn a back handspring. Athletes will also work on
proper round off technique. The goal of this class is to obtain a back
handspring UNASSISTED on the tumble trak and/or cheese wedge and have a strong
round off.
Prerequisites: Must have a back bend kick over and a good round off.

Advanced Back Handsprings-
Athletes will focus on mastering both a standing back handspring and a round off
back handspring on the floor. Prerequisites: Athletes should have a standing
back handspring UNASSISTED on the tumble trak or cheese wedge.

Multiple Back Handsprings-
Athletes will focus on gaining power and speed in back handsprings. They will
focus on both standing and running tumbling with multiple handsprings to
increase power.
Prerequisites: Athletes should have a standing back handspring AND round off
back handspring UNASSISTED on the floor.

Running Tucks-
Athletes will focus on learning a round off tuck and round off handspring tuck. Athletes will also learn and perfect alternate passes into passes with back tucks (front handsprings, punch fronts, etc).
Prerequisites: Must have round off, 3 fast back handsprings UNASSISTED on the
floor.

Layouts-
Athletes will focus on learning standing handsprings AND round off back
handsprings, and alternate passes into layouts.
Prerequisites: Must have a powerful round off handspring tuck UNASSISTED on the
floor.

Standing Tumbling with Tucks-
Athletes will focus on standing tucks, handspring tucks, and jumps into tucks.
Prerequisites: Must have 5 fast standing back handsprings in a row, UNASSISTED
on the floor are also required to have a proper ROT and ROHST unassisted!!!!
 

Fulls-
Athletes will focus on learning standing handsprings AND round off back
handsprings, and alternate passes into fulls.
Prerequisites: Must have a powerful round off handspring layout UNASSISTED on
the floor

Doubles-
Athletes will focus on learning standing handsprings AND round off back
handsprings, and alternate passes into doubles
Prerequisites: Must have a powerful found off handspring full UNASSISTED on the
floor required to have a standing tumbling pass into a full!
 

Stunt Classes

Our stunt classes are for a duration of 60 minutes. This intesive stunt group training is split into two levels. The beginning level (1-3) is designed to teach athletes the basics of stunt technique and body positions. The advanced level (4-5) incorporates advanced stunt techniques, body positions, and dismounts for level 4 and 5 stunting.

To ensure the success of each individual flyer, our specially designed stunt classes require an increased number of instructors. Therefore, our stunt classes are $16.25/class and do not apply to the $10/month Competitive Team member discount. Stunt classes follow the same pro-ration and cancellation policies listed above in our Tumbling Classes. Please follow the steps listed above in Tumbling Class procedures to register and enroll for stunt classes.
